Born and educated in Israel, Shai Ben-Shalom has been experimenting with poetry since he started thinking in – not merely translating to – English. A biologist who recognizes science’s limits, Shai draws inspirations from nature, art, relationships, daily life, and Leonard Cohen.
Edited by Jasmine Ball and Bardia Sinaee, his first collection of poems, Martians Among Us, was published in 2012 by In/Words Press.
