Kevin Shaw is from London, ON where he completed a PhD in Canadian Literature at Western University. His poems and personal essays have appeared in periodicals such as
The Malahat Review, CV2, Grain, The Fiddlehead, Event, and
The New Quarterly, and are forthcoming in the anthology Headcase:
LGBTQ Writers & Artists on Mental Health and Wellness (Oxford, 2019). He received
Arc Poetry Magazine’s Poem of the Year award and the Grand Prize in the
PRISM International Poetry Contest. His debut poetry collection,
Smaller Hours, was published in Fall 2017 by icehouse poetry, an imprint of Goose Lane Editions. He currently lives in Ottawa and works as a writer and editor in the public service.
